The 2010 State Bar Annual Meeting returns to tranquil, seaside Monterey and will feature cutting edge educational programs, luncheons with renowned speakers, receptions and award ceremonies, exciting activities, the Fun Run/Power Walk, the annual art show, and more.

Earn up to 19.5 Hours CLE Credit This year's schedule boasts 157 education classes with a 20-program Ethics Track, and Includes presentations by California Supreme Court Justice Ming Chin on California Case Management System, nationally-known speaker Stephen Fairley on Social Media Marketing, and leading trial attorney Richard Marmaro on Successfully Litigating the “Bet-the-Company-Case”.


MCLE choices include credit in all of the subfields and legal specialization credit, focusing on educational tracks on Ethics, Practice Skills/Technology, and Substantive Law.  New this year: Pre-registered attendees will be able to access program materials in advance of the Annual Meeting.

Special Events and Speakers

Keynote address by United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy (pictured right).  In addition:

*  Mireille Guiliano, Former President & CEO of Clicquot, Inc., will speak at the California Women Lawyer's Annual Dinner.
* Assemblymember William W. Monning will speak on "California's Economic Future: Revitalization, Reform and Renewal" at the Business Law Section's Annual Breakfast
* Richard Susskind, Honorary Professor of Gresham College, London, will speak on "The End of Lawyers? Rethinking the Nature of Legal Services"; and
* Henry Louis Gates, Jr. of Harvard University will deliver the annual Morrison Address.

Add in the President's Reception at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and a Saturday night "Vegas Style" party, and this promises to be a lively and rewarding Annual Meeting!
