The San Luis Obispo County Bar Association offers a Lawyer Referral & Information Service Program. The LRIS is a California State Bar Certified program (# 0121).

The LRIS gives members an opportunity to provide individuals and businesses in the San Luis Obispo County with legal assistance and to build their legal practice.

The Service maintains an office in the San Luis Obispo County Superior Courthouse, 1st Floor (across from Department 6). The Service operates Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

To join the San Luis Obispo County LRIS, please read the Rules of Operation[pdf] and complete the application[pdf].
The completed application can be submitted in the following ways:
1. Drop off the application at the LRIS office in the SLO County Superior Courthouse
2. Mail the Application to LRIS, P.O. Box 14840, San Luis Obispo, CA 93406
