minute consultation and/or inform you of other community
services that may be able to assist you with your
legal matter.
What
is the LRIS?
The Lawyer Referral
and Information Service (LRIS) is a non-profit
organization sponsored by the San Luis Obispo
County Bar Association. LRIS is designed to
provide attorney referrals as well as information
of other legal services available to the public.
It is certified by the State of California
#0121.
Is
there a fee to use the LRIS?
A $30.00 referral
fee must be paid when you meet with the attorney
for the initial half hour consultation.
There is no $30
fee for the following areas of the law:
Criminal
Personal Injury
Probate/Estate,
Planning/Wills
Workers' Compensation
If you decide
to hire the attorney to continue working on
your behalf, you will be responsible for any
additional legal fees.
There is no obligation
on your part or the lawyer's to go beyond
the initial thirty-minute consultation and
$30.00 fee.

Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 12:00 pm.

Government Center, San Luis Obispo. Our information
booth is on the 1st floor across from Courtroom
